About the event

Workshop Week 2 : Brewing Susuri cha with Lid cup

Time  10:30-12:00

  • Including Gyokuro tea and eating a traditional Japanese delicacy.

In the workshop, we will teach you the proper amount of tea leaves and even the temperature of the hot water so that you can serve yourself a delicious cup of tea at home. 

Eventualy If you attend and master the three different courses - spring and autumn gyokuro (April, May, September and October), Reisen /summer cold  (June-July) and Susuri cha / winter sip tea (November-March) - you can obtain a officeial certificate as a 'chashi' (tea master) in the Ouhbaku Baisa tea ceremony school if you wish. (An additional fee is required to obtain the licence.)

Workshop Week 1: Brewing Gyokuro with teapot

Time  10:30-12:00

  • Including Gyokuro tea and eating a traditional Japanese delicacy.
