Panxi Township is recognised as the best growing place of Fuding white tea, and is one of the most orthodox and original birthplaces of Fuding white tea. The town has 21,600 acres of pollution-free tea gardens and 1,000 acres of organic tea gardens, with an annual output of 1,500 tonnes of high-quality tea. Its forest coverage rate can reach more than 80%, and the mountains are always surrounded by clouds; the air and hydrological conditions reach the national level standard; the soil is dominated by yellow and red gravelly loam, with a high content of organic matter and minerals.
Meanwhile, Panxi is at a high altitude, with an average altitude of 500 to 800 metres, and the area receives plenty of sunshine, with temperatures between 2-4 degrees Celsius lower than those at lower altitudes. The climatic conditions in mountainous areas are generally mild, with abundant rainfall, high humidity, and large temperature differences between day and night, which are very favourable to the growth of white tea and the accumulation of nutrients. As a result, Panxi Township produces tea of excellent quality, high tea aroma, tea soup is soft and sweet, and you can feel the sweetness in your mouth. However, in the past two years, the white tea market has been hot, and some tea gardens in Panxi have been over-picked, so the quantity of good quality is limited.
 
磻溪镇是福鼎白茶公认的最优质的生长地，是福鼎白茶最为正统、最为原始的发源地之一。全镇拥有无公害茶园2.16万亩，有机茶园1000亩，年产优质茶叶1500吨。其森林覆盖率可以达到80%以上，山上常年云雾缭绕；空气、水文条件达是国家一级标准；土壤以黄红砾壤为主，有机质物和矿物含量高。
同时磻溪海拔较高，平均海拔高度在500到800米之间，区域日照充足，气温比低海拔地区低2—4℃之间。山地气候条件一般是气候温和、雨量充沛、湿度大，昼夜温差也大，非常有利于白茶生长和养分的积累。因此，磻溪镇出产的茶叶品质优异，茶香高显，茶汤绵软香甜，入口嘴里就能感受到回甘。但近两年白茶市场较火，磻溪部分茶园出现采摘过度现象，所以好的品质的数量有限。
