Kimono Mamiko Foundation Course 6 weeks

Professional Kimono master Mamiko Sugiyama will guide you into the world of Kimono.

Based in Hilversum, Kimono instructor Mamiko Sugiyama is a highly skilled professional Kimono dressing instructor. She also assists with Kimono dressing for formal receptions at the Japanese Embassy. She is regarded as one of the most professional Kimono dressing instructors in the Netherlands.

The Basic Kimono Course consists of six lessons. By the end of the course, you will:

• Learn about all the necessary Kimono equipment

• Understand how to choose a Kimono that suits you

• Learn how to tie a Fukuro Obi for formal Kimono

• Gain essential knowledge about Kimono culture and dressing techniques

  
  

This course will open the door to wearing Kimono more casually and confidently, giving you more opportunities to enjoy Kimono in everyday life.

Optional Purchases & Rental Fees

If you do not have the necessary accessories such as a Juban or Tabi, they can be purchased for €75.

Rental options:

• Kimono rental: €120 (€25 per a day)

• Obi rental: €60 (€15 per a day)

• Rental of additional accessories (Obiita, Koshihimo, Obimakura, etc.): €65
