"Hatsutemae Sanpo" The Hatsutemae Sanpo is an "otemae" course that teaches you how to make a delicious cup of tea that can be used in everyday life, together with beautiful gestures and the spirit of hospitality of the Obaku school of tea ceremony.

About the event
Week 1: 7th March 2024 Thursday
What you lean is: To brew green tea and Gyokuro tea with proper traditional way.
Week 1: Brewing Gyokuro with teapot
Time 10:30-13:30
Japanese homemade small lunch will be served end of the workshop.
Including Gyokuro tea and eating a traditional Japanese delicacy.

Week 2: Brewing Susuri cha with Lid cup (date not decided yet)
Time 10:30-13:30
Japanese homemade small lunch will be served end of the workshop.
Including Gyokuro tea and eating a traditional Japanese delicacy.
Week 3: Brewing Reisen tea ceremony (green tea with ice) (date not decided yet)

Japanese homemade small lunch will be served end of the workshop.
Including Gyokuro tea and eating a traditional Japanese delicacy.
In the workshop, we will teach you the proper amount of tea leaves and even the temperature of the hot water so that you can serve yourself a delicious cup of tea at home.
Eventualy If you attend and master the three different courses - spring and autumn gyokuro (April, May, September and October), Reisen /summer cold (June-July) and Susuri cha / winter sip tea (November-March) - you can obtain a officeial certificate as a 'chashi' (tea master) in the Ouhbaku Baisa tea ceremony school if you wish. (An additional fee is required to obtain the licence.)
